Nightlight controls

Open http://192.168.4.1 while connected to the device, then choose Nightlight. Load a preset or choose your own controls. The animated preview changes locally; Save nightlight applies the settings to the matrix and saves them across resets.

Motion speed controls how quickly shapes move. Color cycle controls how slowly the palette travels through its colors. A long color cycle no longer makes a comet or ripple take two minutes to move. Soft spectrum and two-color transition use only the color cycle; solid and warm white do not animate.

Mode Appearance
Soft spectrum Whole matrix moves gently through the palette
Solid color Primary color across the matrix
Two-color transition Smooth blend between your two colors
Rainbow wave Moving diagonal bands
Breathe Primary color rises and falls softly
Comet A moving point with a fading tail
Twinkle Colorful points fade against the secondary color
Warm white Fixed warm amber-white
Plasma Intersecting waves of color
Aurora A flowing curtain of light
Fire Warm, moving gradients
Ocean Layered blue-green waves
Confetti Colored points brighten and fade
Ripples Rings expand from the center
Lava Slowly moving blends of your two colors
Color rain Staggered falling trails
Scanner A colored bar sweeps back and forth
Kaleidoscope Moving symmetric color bands

Palettes are Spectrum / mode colors, My two colors, Sunset, Ice, Forest, and Candy. Fire and Ocean have their own colors when the first palette is selected. Solid, Breathe and Comet use your primary color; Two-color transition and Lava use your two colors. Spectrum saturation affects the spectrum palette.

Reverse animation direction reverses motion and the color cycle. The six presets provide starting points; loading one does not change the LEDs until you save. Brightness and the matrix current budget still apply to every mode. The preview approximates the appearance; it cannot measure wiring, LED color calibration or power limiting. Its animation can be paused independently, and starts paused when the browser requests reduced motion.

Detection remains active while a nightlight pattern runs or the nightlight is off. Enabled alerts temporarily replace the pattern, then the nightlight resumes. Default alerts are orange flashes for deauth floods, purple pulses for sustained Bluetooth pairing spam, and red/blue police lights for strong Axon candidates. Each can be customized in Alert rules. The buzzer remains optional and disabled until enabled globally and on the desired rule.
